Articles I’m reading this week: 3rd September 2015

Every week I will round up the environmental stories that have warranted my attention and that I think deserve a few minutes of your time.

There’s been plenty of action this week, with Obama in Alaska and Emma Thompson joining Greenpeace to protest at Shell HQ but unfortunately our favourite enemy, plastic, has also dominated the narrative- some good (plastic bag charge coming into force in the UK in October) but mostly bad (plastic trash being found in 90% of seabirds)…
